AnswerGrid is an expert system and expert systems are designed to answer questions on specific topics. To start with, we chosed geography domain and trained our system on database called The World Factbook.

This is the list of questions that can be answered by using information given in that database. AG cannot answer all of these but our goal is to develop AG so that it can answer all. Certainly, you can come up with more questions on your own. As we expand the capabilities of the system, we will increase the size of this list.

To see which questions can be answered by AG, just check its associated color based on given criteria below.

BLUE : Currently, only blue colored questions can be answered by AG. So, If you enter the same question or substitute a different country or continent, you will get the answer.

GREEN : In case of green questions, system can process your question and find the answer but cannot convert that answer into natural sentence. So if you ask them, it says "I do not know."

RED : The red ones are the ones that can be processed by AG but it fails to find the answer. Again, if you ask them, it says "I do not know" or "I do not understand."

WHITE : White questions cannot even be processed by AG. These are the ones that we should really work on. If you ask a white question, it says "I do not understand"
